David Allcock is Head of IT for Channel and reports to the CEO. He is responsible for all aspects of IT including Software Development, Infrastructure and Network Management, and Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
David joined Channel in 2007 from the European Investment Bank where he had been a loan officer specialising in using numerical methods to do expected loss analysis on a broad range of proposed loans across a range of different risk bands. Prior to that he was European Sales and Operations-planning Manager at Amazon (EU) where he and his team handled and ultimately automated all shipping and delivery data at a product line level across all Amazon Fulfilment Centres in the EU. Before this he worked at Standard Chartered bank as Head of Systems for the Whistlejacket Structured Investment Vehicle, a role which included responsibility for designing and implementing the Whistlejacket capital model.David is bilingual (English and French), holds a BEng. in Aeronatical Engineering from Bristol University, an MSc in Astronautics and Space Engineering and a PhD in Gas Turbine Internal Aerodynamics from Cranfield University, as well as certificates in finance and computing from Carnegie Mellon University.
