Channel Capital Advisors LLP ("Channel") established Channel Finance S.A. ("Channel Finance") to provide an innovative platform in partnership with non-bank investors for the financing of short-term, self-liquidating, trade receivables. Channel Finance has been established to facilitate the origination, financing and program management of global trade receivables pools. Specifically we seek to:
- Originate and acquire portfolios of trade receivables directly from corporates
- structure transactions to mitigate credit, dilution and other risks and issue senior secured debt securities (the "Notes") to finance the acquired portfolios, including arranging insurance and other service providers as needed
- provide daily program management (including receivables purchasing)/transaction monitoring and regular reporting for our investors
CASE STUDY
Channel completed a significant trade receivables financing in late 2015 for $60 million, teaming up with a leading credit insurer. Channel originated, structured and arranged the transaction for a European client. This transaction provided our investors with access to short-term, self-liquidating receivables in a listed debt security format.
